Powers and functions of the division of workers' compensation

In plain English

The division of workers' compensation handles day-to-day work running the workers' comp system, based on rules set by the commission. However, only the commission itself can review workers' comp awards — that job cannot be handed off to anyone else. Also, the commission has no say in who the division hires or fires.
