Division may be sued
The Division of Workers' Compensation has an official name and can take legal action or be taken to court. It has an official seal that gets stamped on official papers and records. Copies of its records that have the seal on them count as real proof in Missouri courts.
287.590. may be sued — . — The division may sue and be sued in its official name. The division shall have an official seal bearing the inscription: "The of the ". The official seal of the or division shall be to all and of copies of records, papers on file, and to such other instruments as the commission or division shall direct. Copies of the records and proceedings of the commission or division, and of all papers on file in its office, under the seal, shall be evidence in all courts of the state.
