Each year by February 1st, the head of the workers' compensation division sends the governor a report showing how money was spent from a special fund called the second injury fund. The report covers four types of payments made the year before, and budget requests are also prepared for future payments from that fund.
287.713. , report of expenditures. — The director of the shall make and submit to the governor, on or before the first day of February, in each year, a report on the expenditures made from the in each of the four categories of for the next preceding and shall make and prepare, as is required, for payments from the second injury fund.
