Board of directors, members, appointment, qualifications

In plain English

This law sets up the board of directors for a workers' compensation insurance corporation in Missouri. The board has eight people on it — one is always the director of the division of workers' compensation, and the other seven are private business people who are members of the corporation. Board members serve four-year terms, can only serve two terms in a row, and do not get paid but can be paid back for any expenses they have while doing board work. A board member can be removed if they resign, die, are convicted of a felony, or if the board votes them out for doing a bad job or acting improperly.
