Director to monitor degree of competition, purpose
The director of commerce and insurance watches over how much competition exists in the workers' compensation insurance market in Missouri. To do this, the director looks at existing information and tools, helps create new ones, or uses both. This work can be done inside the department, with other state insurance departments, or through outside help.
287.945. to monitor degree of competition, purpose. — In determining whether or not a exists section 287.942, the director shall monitor the degree of competition in this state. In doing so, the director shall use existing relevant , analytical systems and other sources; cause or participate in the development of new relevant information, analytical systems and other sources; or rely on some combination thereof. Such activities may be conducted internally within the of commerce and insurance, in cooperation with other state insurance departments, through outside contractors or in any other manner.
