Employer to provide notice of ineligibility for unemployment benefits, when

In plain English

Some workers do jobs that do not count as regular employment under Missouri unemployment law. When that is the case, the employer must give those workers a written notice explaining that the money they earn there will not count toward unemployment benefits. This notice must be given when a person first starts the job, when the employer's status changes under unemployment law, or — for workers already on the job as of August 28, 1999 — within 30 days of that date.
