Unemployment automation fund created, use of moneys
Missouri has a special savings account called the Unemployment Automation Fund. Money in this fund can only be spent on computer systems and technology that help run Missouri's unemployment insurance program. The money does not disappear at the end of a two-year budget period — it stays in the fund. This fund cannot be used in a way that would cause the state to lose federal money it would otherwise receive.
