Local commercial motor vehicle hauling solid waste, extended operational limit
A large local commercial truck (licensed for 48,000 pounds or more) that hauls solid waste is normally only allowed to operate within 25 miles of its home city. This law makes an exception — that truck can travel up to 60 miles from its home city and still count as a local commercial motor vehicle for registration purposes.
301.031. hauling , extended operational limit. — the twenty-five mile* operations limit imposed in section 301.010 upon local commercial motor vehicles, a local commercial motor vehicle licensed for forty-eight thousand and above may be used to haul solid waste as defined in section 260.200 up to sixty miles from the in which its operations are otherwise confined and be eligible to as a local commercial motor vehicle.
