Land improvement contractors' commercial motor vehicles, registration, fee
A land improvement contractor can register a work truck for $350 a year. That truck cannot weigh more than 80,000 pounds and cannot be used to haul things for money. To get the special license plates, the owner fills out a sworn statement saying the truck will only be used the way the law allows. The state office then issues special plates that look different from regular plates so people can tell them apart.
