Deals or agreements about loans or claims on cars and trailers that were made before July 1, 2003 are still good. The old rules still apply to those old deals, even if the law changed after that.
301.660. Law not to affect existing rights, duties and interests. — All transactions involving or on motor vehicles or trailers entered into before July 1, 2003, and the rights, duties and interests flowing from them remain valid thereafter and may be terminated, completed, or enforced as required or permitted by any or other law amended or ed by sections 301.600 to 301.660 as though the repeal or amendment had not occurred.
