Additional reinstatement fee, license to operate motor vehicle, when

If someone gets their driver's license suspended or revoked because they were caught driving drunk or with too much alcohol in their blood, they have to pay an extra $25 fee before getting their license back. Also, if a person is under 21 and their license was suspended only once for having some alcohol in their system while driving, they do not have to file special proof of insurance before getting their license back.

302.541. Additional , to operate motor vehicle, when — , not required, when. — 1. In addition to other fees required by law, any person who has had a license to operate a motor vehicle or following a , section 302.505, or section 302.410, 302.574, 577.010, or 577.012, or any , where the was represented by or the right to an attorney, that such person was driving while or with a of eight-hundredths of one percent or more or, where such person was at the time of the less than twenty-one years of age and was driving with a blood alcohol content of two-hundredths of one percent or more by weight, shall pay an additional fee of twenty-five dollars prior to the or of the license.
