Rules and regulations, promulgation of, procedure
The director of the motor vehicle office can create rules to carry out the driving school laws, but those rules have to follow a specific process before they take effect. The director also has to officially approve driving instruction programs that are run by Missouri state colleges, universities, and community colleges.
302.765. , of, procedure — driving instruction programs of state colleges and universities to be approved. — 1. The may adopt any rules and regulations necessary to carry out the of sections 302.700 to 302.780. No or portion of a rule under the of sections 302.700 to 302.780 shall become effective unless it has been promulgated the provisions of section 536.024.
2. The director shall adopt a rule approving driving instruction programs presently provided by a Missouri state college, a Missouri state university or a Missouri state community college.
