School buses and other district vehicles, use to be regulated by board

In plain English

The state board of education makes rules for school buses that carry kids to and from school. School districts can also use regular vehicles (not school buses) to transport kids, but those vehicles can only carry as many kids as the maker says is safe. Regular vehicles under 12,000 pounds only need a basic driver's license. If a school district worker breaks these rules or leaves them out of a contract, that worker can be fired. If a bus driver under contract breaks the rules, the contract can be cancelled.
