Transportation of solid waste, weight restrictions for trucks and tractor-trailers

In plain English

Trucks hauling trash between a city and an approved dump or waste facility are allowed to carry more weight than normal trucks — up to 22,400 pounds on one axle or 44,800 pounds on two axles together. However, these heavier loads are not allowed on interstate highways, and the trucks still have to follow the normal rules for how wide and long they can be.
