Hazardous materials, requirements for transportation
In Missouri, nobody is allowed to drive a vehicle carrying hazardous materials through an underground highway tunnel that is 100 yards or longer. Nobody is allowed to park a vehicle carrying hazardous materials within 300 feet of one of those tunnels either. Breaking this rule is a class B misdemeanor the first time, and a class A misdemeanor for a second or later offense.

304.373. , requirements for transportation — violations, penalties. — 1. For the purpose of this section, "hazardous materials" shall be as defined Part 397, 49, , as adopted and amended.
2. No person shall transport hazardous materials in or through any tunnel in this state. For purposes of this section, a tunnel shall be defined as a horizontal through or under an obstruction of a length of one hundred yards or more.
3. No person shall park a vehicle containing hazardous materials within three hundred feet of any highway tunnel in this state except as provided pursuant to Part 397, Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, as adopted and as such regulations have been and may periodically be amended.
