Purpose clause
This law explains why Missouri has rules about alcohol. Alcohol is treated differently than other products because of age restrictions. The rules in this chapter are meant to keep alcohol sales organized, stop people under the drinking age from getting alcohol, and make sure only licensed businesses sell and distribute it.
311.015. Purpose clause. — Alcohol is, by law, an age-restricted product that is regulated differently than other products. The of this chapter establish vital state of the sale and distribution of alcohol beverages in to promote responsible consumption, combat illegal underage drinking, and achieve other important state policy goals such as maintaining an orderly marketplace composed of state-licensed alcohol producers, importers, distributors, and retailers.
