Fishing skills contest, ticket sales to participants on premises not ground to deny license
Selling tickets for fishing contests where skill matters is not considered gambling under Missouri liquor laws. Because of this, the liquor control division cannot take away or suspend a bar or liquor store's license just because they sell those fishing contest tickets.
311.211. Fishing skills , ticket sales to participants on not ground to deny . — Sales of tickets for participation in fishing contests wherein the skill of the participant is an element shall not be as gambling or participation in gambling activities for the purpose of administering the of this chapter or made pursuant .
