Right to rescind and cancel, time period allowed
When someone buys a travel club membership, they have the right to change their mind and cancel. If the travel club is registered, the person has 3 business days after buying to cancel and get a full refund — as long as they return all materials they got at the time of purchase. The refund comes within 15 business days, minus any actual processing or credit card fees. If the travel club is NOT registered, the person has 3 full years to cancel and get a full refund. These cancellation rights cannot be taken away or signed away.
407.1249. Right to and cancel, time period allowed. — Assuming a purchaser returns to the all materials of value delivered to the purchaser at closing, all of travel club memberships from a travel club that is shall have the for a period of three business days after the date of their purchase to rescind and cancel their travel club purchase and receive a full refund of all sums otherwise paid to the travel club within fifteen business days of such , minus the actual and reasonable cost of processing the refund, including card fees if applicable. Use of travel club benefits during such rescission period shall not the right afforded by this section. Individuals who purchase travel club memberships from a travel club that is not registered under sections 407.1240 to 407.1252 shall have a nonwaivable right for a period of three years from the date of purchase to rescind and cancel their travel club membership and shall receive a full refund within fifteen business days of such rescission.
