Unsolicited merchandise, how disposed of
In plain English
If someone gets something in the mail or delivered to them that they never asked for, they can either send it back or keep it as a free gift. They do not owe the sender anything — no payment, no return, nothing.
Word-for-word law
407.200. , how . — Where unsolicited merchandise is delivered to a person for whom it is intended, such person has a right to refuse to accept of this or he may deem it to be a gift and use it or dispose of it in any manner without any obligation to the sender.
