Investigations by attorney general

In plain English

The attorney general can investigate charities and fundraisers if there is reason to believe something illegal is happening or about to happen. To do this, the attorney general can send a special legal document demanding information. The attorney general can also go to court to get an order that forces a person or group to stop the unlawful activity.
