Information on remedies to be furnished consumer

In plain English

When someone buys new farm machinery, the maker must include information about how to fix complaints. If the machinery has a problem, the buyer must first tell the maker in writing. The maker then has 30 days during busy farm seasons (or 60 days at other times) to fix the problem after the buyer brings it in. If fixing takes more than 14 working days, the maker must provide a similar piece of machinery for free while waiting. If a buyer wants to take legal action, they must do so within 6 months after the warranty runs out or within 18 months of buying the machinery, whichever comes first. The side that wins in court can get their court costs and lawyer fees paid.
