License required
A franchisor (a company that lets dealers sell its vehicles) must have a license to do business in Missouri. No car can be sold or leased in Missouri unless the franchisor has that license. A franchisor cannot change dealer territory boundaries just to get around the rules. The license must be renewed every year by a date set by the department of revenue.
