Application to existing contracts and future contracts

In plain English

This law covers two types of contracts. First, it covers contracts that were already active and have no end date, plus any new or renewed contracts made after September 28, 1987. Second, if a contract was already in place on September 28, 1987, and had its own set end date, the old law (before that date) still applies to it.
