Failure to pay sales representative commission, liability in civil action for actual damages
If a company does not pay a salesperson their earned commissions on time, that company can be taken to court. The salesperson can win back the money they were owed, plus extra money calculated as if they kept earning commissions from the day they were let go until the day they finally get paid. The court can also make the losing side pay the winning side's lawyer fees and court costs.
