Contract, form of
When a foreclosure consultant (someone hired to help a person who is losing their home) makes a deal with a homeowner, the deal must be in writing and clearly explain what services will be done and how much it costs. The contract must include specific warnings in large, bold print, be written in the same language used to make the deal, and be signed and dated by the homeowner. The contract must also come with a separate cancellation notice form — made in duplicate and easy to tear off — so the homeowner can cancel the deal if they change their mind. The consultant must give the homeowner a copy of both the contract and the cancellation form.
