Lien, how enforced
A landlord who has a lien (a legal claim) on a tenant's property can use distress or attachment to get what they are owed. These are legal tools to collect unpaid rent or money for supplies. The landlord can combine the claim for rent and the claim for supplies into one court case.
441.300. , how d. — The landlord may enforce the lien given in sections 441.280 and 441.290 by or , in the manner provided in this chapter for the collection of rent, and subject to the same , and the for money or supplies and for rent may be in the same action.
