Action of court upon finding a nuisance exists
If a judge decides a home or building is a nuisance, the judge has two options. The judge can put someone called a receiver in charge to collect the rent money from people living there. Or the judge can give the owner some extra time to fix the problems.
441.570. of court upon finding a exists. — The court may, after and finding the or building constitutes a nuisance:
(1) Appoint a and direct that present and future rents due from one or more be paid by the occupant or occupants with such receiver as such rents fall due; or
(2) Allow the owner a reasonable time to correct the deficiencies.
