Protection orders for witnesses in certain eviction proceedings

In certain eviction cases, a judge can protect people who might be called to speak in court. If someone shows that a witness has been threatened or scared, the judge can issue an order to keep that witness safe. That protection can include hiding the witness's name and address from others, or letting the witness answer questions privately in front of only the judge.
