Notification required of deploying parent

In plain English

When a parent is being deployed for military service, that parent has to let the other parent know in writing within 7 days of finding out about the deployment. If military circumstances make that impossible, the deploying parent must notify the other parent as soon as they can. Both parents also need to share a written plan for how the kids will be taken care of while the deploying parent is away. If a court order hides one parent's address, the notifications go to the court instead, and the court keeps that address secret. If both parents already live together and both know about the deployment, written notice is not required.
