Relation to Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act
Missouri's own electronic signature rules for this section of law take priority over the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, but only in part. Two specific pieces of the federal law still apply and are not changed: one part protecting certain consumer rights, and one part listing certain notices that must still be delivered in non-electronic form.
452.1256. Relation to in Global and Commerce Act. — Sections 452.1200 to 452.1258 , limit, or the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 7001 et seq., but do not modify, limit, or supersede Section 101(c) of that act, 15 U.S.C. Section 7001(c), or authorize of any of the notices described in Section 103(b) of that act, 15 U.S.C. Section 7003(b).
