Proceedings to be heard by circuit judge

Family law cases under this chapter must be handled by a circuit judge. However, an associate circuit judge can handle these cases if they are assigned or transferred to do so.

452.420. Proceedings to be heard by — . — All proceedings in chapter 452 to be maintained in shall be heard by circuit judges, except that said proceedings may be heard by an if he is to hear such case or class of cases or if he is transferred to hear such case or class of cases other of law or Section 6 of Article V of the Constitution.
