Cooperation between courts

In plain English

Courts in Missouri and other states can work together on child custody cases. One state's court can ask another state's court to hold hearings, collect evidence, or order evaluations about a child. Missouri courts must keep all records from custody cases until the child turns 18, and must share copies of those records with other states if asked.
