Appearance at hearing
If a court in another state asks, a Missouri court can order someone in Missouri to show up and give information for a child custody case happening in that other state. Someone in Missouri can also choose on their own to give a statement for an out-of-state custody case. A Missouri court can also order someone to travel to the other state for the custody hearing, but only if that other state agrees to pay for the travel costs.
452.830. Appearance at . — 1. Upon request of the court of another state, the courts of this state which are competent to hear matters may a person in this state to appear at a hearing to obtain evidence or to produce or give evidence under other procedures available in this state for use in a in another state.
