Definitions
This law defines two words used in a set of rules about making sure child custody orders are followed. The 'petitioner' is the person asking a court to enforce a custody order or get a child returned. The 'respondent' is the person being taken to court over that same issue.
452.850. Definitions. — As used in sections 452.850 to 452.915:
(1) "" means a person who seeks of a or enforcement of an for the of the child under the ;
(2) "" means a person against whom a has been commenced for enforcement of a child custody determination or enforcement of an order for the return of the child under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
