Duties and powers of responding tribunal
When a court in Missouri gets a request from another court to help with a child support case, it files the paperwork and tells the person who sent it where and when it was filed. The Missouri court can then do many things — like setting up or changing a support order, making someone pay what they owe, taking money from someone's paycheck, putting a lien on property, or even issuing a warrant if someone doesn't show up. The court cannot make support payments depend on whether visitation rules are followed, and if the amount owed is in a foreign currency, the court converts it to dollars.
