Pleadings and accompanying documents
When someone wants to set up a child support order, figure out who a child's parent is, or change a support order from another state or country, they have to file a paper called a petition. That petition needs to include names, home addresses, and Social Security numbers for the adults involved, plus the name, sex, address, Social Security number, and birthday of each child involved. The petition also has to say what the person is asking for, and it needs to follow the standard form required by federal law when a support agency is involved.
