Limited immunity of petitioner
When someone comes to Missouri to take part in a child support case, they are protected in two ways. First, just showing up for the case does not let courts drag them into other lawsuits. Second, while they are physically in Missouri for the case, they cannot be served papers for other civil lawsuits. However, this protection does not cover them if they do something wrong while they are here that has nothing to do with the support case.
