Communications between tribunals
A court in Missouri is allowed to contact courts in other states to ask about their laws, what their court orders mean, or how a case is going. Missouri courts can also share that same kind of information back with courts in other states. They can do this by phone, email, written records, or other ways of communicating.
454.1596. Communications between s. — A tribunal of this state may communicate with a tribunal outside this state in a or by telephone, electronic mail, or other means, to obtain concerning the laws, the legal effect of a , , or of that tribunal, and the status of a . A tribunal of this state may furnish similar information by similar means to a tribunal outside this state.
