Effect of registration for enforcement
When a child support order from another state or country gets filed with Missouri's court, it becomes registered. Once registered, Missouri treats it just like a Missouri support order and will enforce it. Missouri courts can make someone follow that order, but they cannot change what the order says.
454.1638. Effect of . — (a) A or issued in another state or a is when the is filed in the of this state.
