Procedure to register child support order of another state for modification
If someone wants to change a child support order that came from another state, they first have to register that order in Missouri. Once registered, a person can ask to have it changed. The paperwork has to explain the reason for wanting the change.
454.1656. Procedure to of another state for . — A or seeking to , or to modify and , a child support order issued in another state shall register that in this state in the same manner provided in sections 454.1632 through 454.1653 if the order has not been . A may be filed at the same time as a request for , or later. The must specify the grounds for modification.
