Modification of convention child support order
A Missouri court cannot change a child support order that came from a foreign country if the person receiving support still lives in that foreign country. There are two exceptions: if that person agrees to let Missouri handle it, or if the foreign country's court refuses to deal with the case. If Missouri does not change the order because it does not recognize it, a different rule applies to handle that situation.
