Filing with the state case registry, when
When a court makes, changes, or enforces a child support or paternity order, each person involved has to give the state a list of their personal contact details — like their address, phone number, Social Security number, driver's license number, and where they work. If any of that information changes, the person has to update the state within 30 days. Later, if someone needs to take that person back to court over child support, the court can move forward even if the person is hard to find, as long as a real effort was made to locate them and notice was sent to their last known address and their most recent address on file with the state.
