Rebuttable presumption for authenticity of certain judicial orders and documents
When a court order or other court document is sent to the division (the state child support office) by fax or other electronic means, it is automatically treated as a real and correct copy. That copy can be used in hearings without extra proof. If someone thinks the copy is not accurate, that person can fight it by getting an official certified copy from the court clerk. The court clerk must provide those certified copies to the division for free when asked.
