Termination of obligor's employment or coverage, notification of obligee
When a court order requires someone to provide health insurance for another person, and that person loses their job or loses their health insurance, the employer or insurance plan must make a real effort to tell the other party within 10 days. They also have to share information about options to keep or switch the coverage. In certain government-tracked cases, the employer also has to report the worker's last known address and any new employer information.
454.627. of 's or coverage, notification of . — When an for sections 454.600 to 454.645 is in effect, upon termination of the obligor's employment, or upon termination of the health benefit plan coverage, the employer, union or , as , shall make a effort to notify the obligee, or in , the , within ten days of the termination date with notice of . In addition, in IV-D cases, upon termination of the obligor's employment, the employer shall promptly notify the division or of another state, as applicable, of the obligor's last known address and the name and address of the obligor's new employer, if known.
