When someone is in charge of a dead person's estate and does not finish the job within one year, the court checks to make sure their bond (a kind of insurance promise) is still good enough. If the court thinks the bond is not strong enough — for example, if the person who backed the bond moved away, died, or ran out of money — the court tells the estate manager to get a better or bigger bond.
473.190.
