Effect of new bond

Random law
In plain English

When someone managing a dead person's estate gets a new bond to replace an old one, the people who backed the old bond are no longer responsible for anything that goes wrong after the new bond is filed. The people who backed the old bond are only on the hook for problems that happened before the new bond. The people backing the new bond take over responsibility from that point forward.
