Accounting for assets received and disbursed after final settlement

Random law
In plain English

After an executor or administrator files their final paperwork for an estate, they may still receive or spend money before the estate is fully closed. They have to report all of that money to the court before they are officially done. The court will review it and include it in the final distribution order, or handle it as a separate follow-up review, with or without notifying people — unless the court decides notice is needed or the executor or their backers ask for it.
