Priority of personal representative appointed by court of decedent's domicile
When someone dies in another state, the person chosen to handle their estate in that home state gets first pick to also handle things in Missouri. There are two exceptions: if the person's will named different people for Missouri and for their home state, or if the home-state representative picks someone else to take their spot, that picked person gets the same first-pick right.
