Partial intestacy

If a person dies and their will only covers some of their belongings, the leftover belongings that the will does not cover get split up using the state's standard rules for people who die without a will.

474.030. Partial . — If part but not all of the of a is validly by will, the part not disposed of by will shall be as provided herein for estates.
