Wills and trusts, English translation required, costs

If a will or trust document is not in English, an official English translation is required. If no translation is provided when the will goes through the legal process after death, the court will arrange to have one made. The cost of translating the document gets paid for out of the estate or trust money.

474.382. Wills and trusts, English translation required, costs. — All wills and s shall have an official English translation to ensure the accurate of such documents. If no such translation is provided at the time of , the court with shall make such arrangements as necessary to create an English translation. The reasonable costs associated with document translation shall be from the estate or trust or both, as provided in the trust agreement, , or as by the court.
